Authority for monitoring the markets

The Agency collects the data on the development of the electronic communications market in the Republic of Slovenia based on the Electronic Communications Act (Article 265 ZEKom-2) and the General legal act on the collection, use and submission of data on the development of the electronic communications market (https://www.akos-rs.si/en/legislation). 

All natural persons or legal entities providing electronic communications networks and services, associated facilities, or associated services must submit the available data to the Agency. Active operators submit the required data through electronic surveys on a dedicated portal. 

The Agency uses the data for various purposes, such as conducing the analyses of relevant markets, preparing reports and submitting the data to different national and international institutions, as required by law, preparing strategies, etc. The data provide support in making decisions on the regulation of electronic communications markets, and are also required for fulfilling other tasks required by law, so they must be of a high quality. It is in the interest of all the stakeholders that the collected data is accurate and that it reflects the actual situation in electronic communications market in Slovenia.
